By the Tolminka
The river behind the house, the town in front.
Tolmin sits where the Tolminka meets the Soča, right on the southern edge of Triglav National Park. The Gorjan house is on the eastern edge of town, close to the Tolminka: the shop, the bus and the square are a walk away, and so are the gorges and the confluence.

What to do
The Tolmin area for active days.
The clear rivers draw kayakers, rafters and anglers, the forest trails mountain bikers, and the Tolmin basin is known for good paragliding from the top of Kobala. For a hike there are the nearby hills and mountain pastures, for a high mountain tour the trailhead at Razor.

Getting here
How to get to Tolmin.
By car
About an hour and a half from Ljubljana, three quarters of an hour from Nova Gorica. Set the sat-nav to Vojkova ulica 5a, Tolmin; parking is at the house.
By bus
Tolmin bus station is 400 metres from the house, 6 minutes on foot.
By train
The nearest railway station is Most na Soči on the Bohinj line, 7.5 km from the house.
Airports
Trieste about 1 hour 5 minutes by car, Ljubljana about 1 hour 20 minutes.
